Appeared a few years ago, the raw food diet is revolutionizing the traditional way of eating. Its benefits are numerous, which seduces consumers. Some even think that it is the future of food.

What exactly is crudivorism?

As its name indicates, it is a way of eating that consists of eating only raw products; a way of life that is very well adapted for vegetarians and vegans. In fact, raw food eating is about eating a lot of vegetables, but also about transforming fruits and vegetables into juice or smoothies. For some dishes, it is possible to add dressing to bring more flavour. The purpose of all this is to take maximum advantage of all the benefits of food, without them having been processed.

The principle is simple. The principle is simple: to make a kind of conventional “food combination”. A way of not mixing certain foods together, to better enjoy their benefits.

The benefits of crudivorism

The first advantage of this way of eating is of course the consumption of a richer and healthier food. As we know, cooking food alters a good part of the vitamins and enzymes. Moreover, the time saved in the kitchen is considerable.

A diet based on raw food allows you to lose weight. And this, even without doing sports on a daily basis. The feeling of hunger is stopped more quickly. At the same time, the skin is more beautiful and the hair and nails are stronger.

In everyday life, the effects are felt by an increase in energy. On the health side, body odors change. The unpleasant odors of sweat, breath and stool are reduced.

However, before definitively adopting this diet, it is necessary to allow yourself a trial period. Firstly, it is difficult to eat raw all the time. Secondly, the body may not be able to withstand this radical transition. It takes about 2 weeks for the body to understand.

How do I eat raw?

Eating raw is not as easy as it sounds. It is very likely that a raw food eater will end up suffering from various nutritional deficiencies. This can happen for example with vitamin B12, calcium or zinc. To avoid this, it is necessary to consume these nutrients at least in the form of food supplements.

Raw food diet is also not recommended for growing children and pregnant women who have much higher daily energy needs.
